My name is Sofia Elizabeth Arista-Juarez and I am the first generation of my family to be attending college. I like collecting plushies and listening to music. I love to read, draw and write as it serves as an escape from reality. I love how reading and writing makes me feel safe and gives me the ability to express myself when I have a hard time doing so. I love to write stories, silly songs, but overall poems about how I feel, felt, or experiences I went through. I like to believe that my work, as well as myself, is perfectly imperfect because that’s what makes me unique. Being different. That’s what makes all of us unique and special.

When I heard the recording I got very emotional. I always read it in a certain way but hearing how someone else would read it truly amazed me. As I was hearing the voice actor who did such an amazing job, I was able to hear and feel emotions. Can you perhaps tell the voice actor on my behalf how amazing she did. Their voice was very smooth and clear. Also, the background music that was incorporated was a good pick too which I never thought about. Overall such amazing work and the execution was flawless.
Najabi is 12 years old ; born and raised in the Bronx. She has overcome a lot; showing courage in the face of adversity she continues to reach for the stars and do what she loves best which is writing poetry and short stories.

My name is Farzana Achal and I am a recent high school graduate. I will be going to Stony Brook University in the fall. When writing this piece, I wanted to write about a realization that really impacted my outlook on life. Knowing that a place exists for us outside of the set expectations was something I wanted to share with everyone. Other than writing, I spend my weekends doing photography or baking!
